Welcome to this week's blurb!
This past week has been surprisingly packed more than I would've imagined in terms of just how busy I've been. Last week I was somewhat sick in the stomach literally. Apologies for the postponement and delay for today, it seems like I've been having a lot of those lately, haven't I? Well, rest assured, the blurbs will come.
This banner is surprisingly relevant for me at least, especially considering that I had some good pizza at a local shop recently, fair price and some pretty good pizza! Pepperoni, pesto, and (unidentifiable ingredient) pizza tasted quite nice there, just wish I could have a pizza that was even better, like a pizza with thick crust, garlic and nicely cooked pepperoni. Now I'm making myself hungry, and at the time of writing this, I am incredibly hungry already, so no need to do that for myself.
Now with all those shenanigans out of the way, let stake a look at what the community has been up to this past week:

Now we arrive at this week's user column!
Each week I will be asking members of the Brickadia community a question relevant to Brickadia at the moment, whether that be in regard to development, speculation, or even just hopes and desires surrounding the game itself.
The question this week is:
If BrickadiaCon was real, AKA a Brickadia convention was real, what would you hope to see from something like that? Do you think something like that would do well or even succeed? Would you believe someone would bring a bouncy house?
"I'd like to see something like a QNA panel from us players to the developers/contributors, maybe a BrickadiaCon™️ exclusive showcase/demo of a new update. Also merchandise, that's a given. On the matter of success, I can see it working as long as it's done at the right time when there's enough people who are willing. Yeah, someone would probably bring a bouncy house."
"If BrickadiaCon was a real thing, I would love to see "Egg" head cosplays and maybe even some 3d printed builds or even plans of builds. either that or even people helping other people out with guides and things of that nature."
"I think it would be cool if people brought hand-made real builds as sets, you could make the bricks work with square 3d studs or just use pre-existing round studded bricks, and since the player already has feasible-looking joints on the model it might be possible to 3d-print them, but they might be somewhat brittle/hard to pose. But bring a gas mask, you do not want to inhale the air of a room full of Blockland players. also, a bouncy house would be a thing for exactly 10 minutes, until someone punctures a hole in it with the sharp corners of their hand-made egg head hat and then everyone is disappointed :("
And now for the weekly comic panel!:
For this week's speculation, we'll be discussing the potential for physics!

Forklift certification aside, we are very much so aware that you'll be able to lift stuff, crush stuff, and slap stuff with each other, and with destructable builds planned for the future, there is a lot to look forward to. What about for things like joints, though? What is the potential for things like joints as far as we have seem them currently?

For a bit, I thought that maybe constraints that involve a third brick to be connected on both ends with joints might not be possible until I rediscovered these videos put out by Sixmorphugus. While that in itself is possible, another realization that I made involves the second video. Given that the length of all three bricks in this video are different, there isn't really a way that connects all of them together at their positions if they're all oriented vertically and horizontally. This gives us the implication that you'll be able to make these joint connections even if the bricks are at an angled position. How I can visualize that, I have no idea, as the idea of connecting bricks via joints at an angle sounds like a positioning nightmare. However, I wouldn't be surprised if the developers found a way to do that, as the way they would've probably figured it out is by having it be the case where if two points are as close as possible at a certain grid point and a joint of some kind is applied, then I imagine the bricks are reoriented as quickly as possible to make sense in Brickadia's grid system.
That description in itself might be a little difficult to visualize too, but think of it in terms of this:
Man, I'm a great artist, aren't I?
This in itself isn't certain though, as we do not know if joints can be applied on the opposite side in which it is placed, as if it were a bolt keeping to pieces together. We are aware currently that more types of bearings are on their way:

So who knows, maybe we'll be able to see different ways of applying connections like joints or motors some time in the future, we'll just have to wait and see.
