Welcome to this week's blurb!

It seems that whenever I make a banner, I need to throw in a face that is either going wild or is mildly amusing. To be fair though, that's the kind of stuff I like for fun, humoring things. A little touch I added though is a Leon to the spacecraft of the alien, it's a lil funny, don't you think?

Beyond that, we are now in the second full week of December with an official blogpost for Brickadia is supposedly around the corner, but for what day or time it will come, we do not know yet. But don't gnaw down on your keyboard and electrical components just yet, we have a whole blurb to get through this week!

Now with all those shenanigans out of the way, lets take a look at what the community has been up to this past week:

Insanely realistic mock-ups for racing in Brickadia (these are not real UI elements, but these look very cool as a concept for racing in Brickadia!):

Now we arrive at this week's user column!

Each week I will be asking members of the Brickadia community a question relevant to Brickadia at the moment, whether that be in regard to development, speculation, or even just hopes and desires surrounding the game itself.

The question this week is:

Given that just last year, Brickadia had a crossover event with the game Fadeout: Underground, do you believe there could be another crossover event involving Brickadia in the future? What games do you think Brickadia could have a good crossover with were it possible?

jayden_bricj

"Yes I think a crossover with Brickadia will happen in the future. I would like to see a couple of games that cross over with bricjadia. Amongst Us, Spore, and Blockland :smug:"

101 Engineering

"I believe a possible Brickadia crossover would be BrickRigs on Steam. Brick Rigs is a game on steam that also uses the Unreal Engine, and has a positive thriving playerbase that creates veichles from bricks much like what we do in Brickadia. This would be a fun crossover for the both of these two communities because of how Brickadia eventually wants to do something with player built vehicles, and I believe BrickRigs players could see what's possible to build with bricks, not necessarily in Brickadia since both game use roughly the same medium. It would awesome to have builders from BrickRigs to come share what they have learned over time, as I'm sure from one builder to another there are many tricks we have not yet learned."

Lantz

"The style of Brickadia's cosmetics lends itself well to references and crossovers IMO. It would be cool to see a lot of nods to other games similar to Terraria's bountiful references in it's items!"

And now for the weekly comic panel!:

News news news!

Yeah, I'm not covering speculation on when the devblog could come out, it's bound to come out within this or next week, it should be REAL close, and we still have the rest of the month, so I'm not going to be lazy and even try to suggest covering when it could come out again.

Now with that out of the way, for once, we don't actually have to much to talk about for speculation (ruh roh!)

HOWEVER, that does not stop me from mentioning some interesing facts about Brickadia! Now as you probably saw from the weekly blurb question of the week, you're probably thinking "wait, Brickadia had a crossover event with another game before it's even out?", and to that, you'd be correct! The crossover event was with an indie game called Fadeout: Underground, a third-person arena shooter, with the crossover event including a map from Brickadia being used in the game itself!

Very wild to think that Brickadia could even have a crossover with another game! Could you imagine the future possibilities of other crossovers with different games in the future?

Could you imagine THE ULTIMATE crossover?

And with that out of the way, let's take a look at another interesting bit: the source of Brickadia's death noise!:

So who REALLY made the death noise? The world may never know. I also have good reading comprehension.

Jokes aside, it's very interesting knowing one of the contributors to Brickadia having had made the noise himself, here's a listen at what the original generally sounds like:

Lastly, here's one of the first (but not the first) development recordings of Brickadia showcasing building features:

It's interesting to take a quick look at Brickadia's history and just see the pieces that helped make it to where it is today, and who knows, maybe someday something the community builds will be part of another crossover, wouldn't you want to see a player in Fortnite use the Egg head as a parachute with its mouth open?
