Welcome to this week's blurb!

This week, I opted for a more simple blurb banner while trying to keep it aesthetically pleasing, so I hope you guys like the line-shading on the guy on the right side of the banner. Cool stuff happened this week as we got a video from the developers talking about customization, which gives us a sneak peek into the many new accessories and hats that are going into Brickadia, so stick around as we take a look at that!

You're also probably wondering why this took a bit longer to release than it should've many hours ago, the main reason why was because I've been having trouble getting OBS to work to record some stuff for the Blurb, but unfortunately I couldn't work it out so I'll have to save what I was working on for next time, and because I still had to gather a lot of pictures for the speculation column, sorry about that!

With that out of the way, let's take a look what the community has been up to this week:

Each week I will be asking members of the Brickadia community a question relevant to Brickadia at the moment, whether that be in regard to development, speculation, or even just hopes and desires surrounding the game itself.

The question this week is:

With the recent release of the new Brickadia video regarding customization with cosmetics, what are three cosmetics you'd want to have make it into Brickadia?

Exelexor

"Uhh a sheath for the belt slot maybe? Idk thinking of 3 off the top of my head is suprisingly hard, I guess a gun holster too but those are pretty similar, OH actually a trenchcoat ''armor'' could be really cool too, something that kinda sticks out/drapes to the side. Ok so final answer, a trenchcoat 'armor' piece that drapes out, a sheath/gun holster, and perhaps a fancier looking watch."

Raelthyk

"The first cosmetic would be another medieval helmet aside from the few that we have, something more historically accurate. Something like an Armet or Sallet, y'know? Secondly, a shoulder/arm piece that is rolled up sleeves where the joint connects with the forearm piece. Third, a full beard that isn't the Santa beard, styled more like the other facial hair parts. Think about a more connected Mutton Chops Goatee basically, with more volume to it."

jayden_bricj

"A comically sized spoon,
a pixelated body part (head, limbs etc),
[and] hockey skates."

This week, we just got a major look into what new hat and accessory cosmetics are in Early Access Brickadia, as well as some updates made for them! If you haven't seen the video yet, everything can be found right here: How Are These Avatars Made?

After taking a look at the video, there's a lot than can be seen both in terms of UI updates, as well as cosmetic additions and a few notable things as well.

For one, within the first few seconds, we see a quick display of bots being destroyed en masse in which they gib the moment they touch the floor. An interesting demonstration of bot death!:

Here, we can see another appearance of the oxygen tank cosmetic that was previously seen in the Brickadia trailer:

At this second, we can see the return of another cosmetic body piece, which I assume is the foot wrap grip thingy, but it has been creatively colored to look like sandals:

Taking a look at this, we can see a strap hang over the avatar's torso. While one might mistake this for a toga just for a second, one crucial thing to note is that the toga cannot be colored in separate patterns below the strapline, meaning this is certainly a new cosmetic:

Straight away, here we can see not only the beveling made for UI has been done, but also that there is a new wardrobe area for the avatar to be customized in, utilizing both microbricks and regular bricks. For comparison, below is the new wardrobe and the current wardrobe:

In a blink or you'll miss it moment, we can see the return of a pumpkin cosmetic in Brickadia, the only difference is that it's a seemingly new model versus the old pumpkin cosmetic, below is the comparison:

Here we can see the addition of 3 new facial pieces, the Dutch Beard, Full Beard, and the Horseshoe Mustache:

Here we can see the addition of 1 new arm piece: the Framework:

Here we can see the addition of 2 new wrist pieces: the Framework and the Robo-Dapter:

Here we can see the addition of 1 new hand piece: the Framework (seems like we got a whole line of these):

Here we can see the addition of 2 new leg pieces: the Kevlar Pad and the Leg Brace (the Kevlar Pad has been seen on the Brickadia website and the Steam Page):

Here we can see the addition of 4 new ankle pieces: the Balancing Pad, the Greaves, the Leg Brace, and the Running Blade (the Running Blade previously made an appearance in the Brickadia trailer):

Here we can see the addition of 1 new foot piece: the Jumping Boot (which has been seen multiple times throughout the video recolored and reused, certainly an exceptional piece):

Here we can see the addition of 6 new hats: the Jack-O-Lantern, the Kepi, the Kepi Band, the Military Beret, and two Riot Helmets:

A clear shot of all the new Armor accessories, counting in 15 pieces: the Angler Vest, the Basic Vest, the Cargo Vest, the Chest Harness, the Half Vest, the Heavy Vest, the Juggernaut Vest, the Light Vest, the Light Vest Pouches, the Medium Vest, the Medium Vest Pouches, the Plate Vest, the Satchel, the Stealth Vest, and the Webbing Kit:

Here we can see a clear shot of all the 2 new backpacks: the EVA tank and the Oxygen tank, both of which have been seen before (presumably in the Brickadia Trailer):

Interestingly enough, it appears the Brickadia Developers drew inspiration when building this castle for the video from LEGO, specifically set 375-2 (comparison below)::

Who would've thought so much content could be stuffed into one video, let alone a video that is literally 40 seconds long! One interesting thing to note is that we can actually get a better look at the new wardrobe for Brickadia thanks to one of the Social Media managers, Toriel! Let's take a quick fun look at that:

A stunning new creation that is sure to make a good area for avatar creation in the player menu! One thing to note is that there are a couple easter eggs and references to other things in this build in the first and second image, see if you can figure out where they're from! If I missed anything from the recent avatar video, let me know and I'll throw it in here too.
